🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Marinate the Chicken

Mix chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, chicken masala, salt, mint, and coriander. Let it marinate for 2–4 hours (or overnight for best results).

2. Cook the Rice

Boil Laila Basmati Rice with whole spices until 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.

3. Layer & Assemble

In a heavy-bottomed pot:

  • Add marinated chicken at the bottom

  • Layer with rice

  • Drizzle ghee, saffron milk, and fried onions

Cover tightly with foil or dough, and let it cook on low flame for 30–40 minutes (Dum method).

4. Serve Hot!

Open the pot, fluff the rice gently. Serve with raita or salad.

  • Don’t overcook the rice — parboiled rice finishes cooking during the Dum process.
